LKY will blame gohct goh keng swee and teoh chee hian for false intelligence report of SAF. He will regret not having come to this site and read sammyboy sooner where facts and objectivity and cutting edge analysis are presented daily of how NS IS KILLING SG.

LKY's BIGGEST regret should be his failure in 1963-65 in taking political power beyond Singapore's shores to become the PM of Malaysia.
1. His incursion into Malaysian Politics via the setup of the DAP spearheaded by his sidekick; Devan Nair- crashed and burned!
2. The dangling of his 'Malaysian Malaysia' carrot to rouse support from the Malaysian Chinese FIZZLED out.
3. He underestimated the Malay Politician's IQ levels in NOT realising his 'secret agenda' until it was too late.
We now all know how S'pore got unceremoniously KICKED OUT and S'poreans celebrate this every year with their 'goodie bags'. On every Aug 9, LKY is forever reminded on what could have been if he had played his cards a little differently.

oh please.... don't try to add any sense of altruism to his actions. he did what he did to maintain his hold on power and wealth. this whole 'benevolent dictatorship' is a personal ego trip for him.
that we got to ride the gravy train, that's our good fortune. if he could kick us all off, he would gladly do so, but thank goodness for the popular vote.

regrets are 4 losers. mm lee is happy that he has done his best for singapore and he'll continue to do his best to help singapore to survive in such tumultous times. i wish mm lee well and i hope he'll continue to live many more good years. singaporeans are blessed to have such a wise and virtuous leader.majulah mm lee! majulah singapura!!! merry christmas to all!!!
