I can categorically state that he has no agenda. Any man who acquires so many well regarded qualifications but has no little or no ability to translate it into appropriate level of activity and achievement does not know the meaning of the term - "means to an end". Such people have no agenda or goal in life. I take up a pilot's licence to fly. I take a driver's licence to drive a car. In his case, he has acquired everything including an astronaut's licences if ever there was one and still does not not why he did it. Imagine selling insurance after all this.

He use to post in this forum until people told him to fuck off as he would not reply, engage or ignored people who responded to his posts. It became a spam. Even Tonychat would reply. I suspect that he struggled to converse.

I will put it down in simple terms to make is easy for those who struggle to understand. A chestful of qualifications even from the best institutions does not amount to a hill of beans if you can't translate what you learn into actions and deeds. He is not alone, in PSC long history, there have been a few rare cases where scholars have left the service or committed suicide because of this. One of the saddest case is a President scholar who hanged himself in an army base. The few who struggle find refuge by becoming hooked on the learning circuit. If you go to Harvard or Stanford, there is an expectation that you are able to carve up an identity, a high profile career and wield sufficient influence. You become a change agent. ON the other hand, you may not have single degree, never left our shores but have excelled in your line of work or carved out a name for your self because of your achievements. In this category falls many people who are self-starters, businessmen and businesswomen who have the temerity and the tenacity to drive change. I can strum a guitar at the avoid deck and meet your goal of being satisfied and happy but the majority would consider me a failure. The guy could not even engage in a single dialogue with his posting and was chased away for spamming. Despite all his education, he did not realise that it was rude behaviour. You think we are dealing with happy and satisfied man.

He's one of the most over-rated. I've attended his talks before, he's very poor in public speaking and bores people to death. Even as a member of the audience he would stand up and utter a string of numbers and not get to the point, annoying everyone in the room. His TOC articles are all aimed at number crunching and asking soft questions without really jabbing hard at what is wrong with the SYSTEM. That's why I stopped reading him years ago. You can get the same gist by just listening to a few words from a better speaker who can put the issue concisely and also address the real problems head on, for example, people like Vincent Wijey, Gerald Giam.

He's very good at marketing himself and getting people to promote him. But just can't understand why a person of no substance like him can hold so many honorary positions.

to be fair, he is quite corny...yah but personally, i find little substance...in any case, i doubt he will dish out any hot tips on a radio program anyways.
 
There are some people who find solace when others make him feel like a part of a gang or dish them favours, thereby covering their eyes from the incapabilities of the members of these gangs when they run for public office. Suddenly, if George Bush gets chummy with me for some reason, then also for some reason he suddenly becomes a better speaker, more intelligent than Bill Gates or Steve Jobs who is too busy with too many people to invite me to his office for coffee. Maybe a better marathon runner or more handsome. In other words, no matter what segment Bush competes with Gates, Bush is always the winner, true or not.

That is how a chap would help TKL thinking that he will be the only one retaining his deposit when people could clearly see it was going to be the other way around - and they were right. That's how myopic it can get. And then those who in turn revere such village idiots, coming after those the VI poisons without knowing head and tail.
 
For a guy who's been to Harvard, he cant hold an audience for shit. His tone is monotonous and rarely really engages his audiences.

He puts Harvard to shame. What he needs is a simple Toastmaster training.
