I agreed with the PM that Foreign Ministry is a very important portfolio of government. I have a suggestion here ...
In the event that George and his moribund bunch got voted out of Aljunied GRC, the PAP (barring a freak election result) should seriously consider appointing Low Thia Khiang to be the foreign minister. This will definitely strengthened the bi-partisanship in our "First World Parliament" (much as the United States having a Democratic Party's President Obama and a Republican Defense Secretary Robert Gate)!
Sylvia Lim can also takeover Lim Hwee Hua portfolio. This way, the country gains two calibre ministers and the residents of Aljunied GRC continued to retain two voices in cabinet!
Zainul Abidin Rasheed can run for the Elected Presidency ...anyway, it's about time for a Malay President!
This is the best win-win solution for its embroiled the concept of "A First World Parliament" as well as "A First Rate Parliamentarians". No need to squabble, no threats, no gutter politics ... we rule happily as one united people, regardless of race, language or religion ...Majulah Singapura!
