Calvin Ern-Lee Cheng is a Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore, and a leading figure in the fashion modelling industry in Asia.
Cheng is a graduate of the Oxford University (Hertford College) in the United Kingdom, where he earned a Master of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and a Master of Science in Management.[1]
Cheng was the Asian regional head of Elite Model Management,[2][3][4] the agency which spawned supermodels Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and Gisele Bündchen amongst others. In 2003, the Elite Model Look International finals were also held in Singapore, which was the second time in 21 years that the event was held in Asia.[5] Cheng left Elite in 2004.[citation needed]
Cheng is currently Director of Lumina-Looque International, Director of Looque Models and President of John Robert Powers China.[1] Looque Models manages Asian models including Tracy Tan, Sara Malakul Lane[6] , and Amber Chia.[7] Singaporean actor Elvin Ng also started out with Looque Models.
Cheng is the President of Singapore's modelling association,[8][9] which has aimed to increase the pay and welfare of models in Singapore.[10] In August 2005, Cheng was featured in Singapore's 40th independence day official commemorative video as one of 40 outstanding Singaporeans under 40.[11]
Cheng currently sits on the Board of Governors for the Spirit of Enterprise (SOE) Singapore, a quasi-governmental body that promotes enterprise and annually awards entrepreneurs who have made achievements in their fields.[12] Cheng is also on the Council of the Singapore Red Cross Society. [1]
In 2009, Cheng was honoured as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, and inducted into the Forum of Young Global Leaders. [13]. He was one of five young leaders to be chosen out of Singapore. [14]
In July 2009, Cheng was appointed a Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore.[15]

Joscelin Yeo Wei Ling (born 2 May 1979) is a Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) and a former competitive swimmer from Singapore. Yeo has won dozens[vague] of gold medals at the Southeast Asian Games,[1] as well as represented the Republic in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and Summer Olympics. Yeo was elected as a Rhodes Scholar but never took up the Scholarship.[2]
Yeo began her international swimming career at 11, at the Beijing Asian Games. Since then, she has swam in every major international meet, including the Southeast Asian Games eight times, the Asian Games four times, the Olympics four times, and the Commonwealth Games three times. She finally ended her 16-year swimming career in early 2007.
Yeo originally wanted to call it a day after the 2005 SEA Games. But after a splendid performance, she wanted to continue till the 2008 Beijing Olympics. This decision saw her swim at the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games and the 2006 Doha Asian Games. However, she changed her mind again in the beginning of 2007, saying she did not have the motivation to go on with another year of training till Beijing, and retired at 28.
Yeo opened a swim school, called Yeo's Aquatics, along with her elder brother Leonard. She is also actively involved in church work, working as a mentor within the Youth ministry of New Creation Church.[3]In 2009, Yeo became a non-elected Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP), the youngest of her batch.
