What are "Points" and "Power"?

A brief respite from Jack Neo and PAP bashing. Can anyone explain what does "points" and "power" mean under our "Reputation"? How do your "points" and "power" increase respectively?

how many points = 1 unit of power?

Pts / Power for what purpose?

Also infraction pts, at first i tot only sam has power to issue infraction pts. but seems anyone can issue infraction pts to anyone - true ?

Oh, thank you very much! So points and power do have some relationship. So when someone clicks "add to reputation", it actually goes to the "points" and not "power"?

You r right. They subject to different criteria.

If me not wrong, the point is something like how many posts you've made.

For power, is like when others read your post and appreciate it, they give point to it. This part is something you can't control.
