I think that time SG is the first country to implement screen doors to the underground MRT stations because SG very hot country, so they decided to have screen doors to contain the air-condition. Most foreign countries underground metro stations no screen doors one during the 80s...

Yes I was. My penis hadn't yet grown hair. Everything was bright and cheerful.

The MRT line initially terminated at Clementi and Yio Chu Kang. Then Jurong East and Yishun. Then the three shit towns north of Jurong East, and the stations of Jurong West and Boon Lay. And after that, the loop between Yishun and Jurong East was completed.

Didn't care much about the east until I become a horny and curious teen, when visiting East Coast Park and the Pasir Ris chalets became a regular thing. :biggrin:
