Since we have the water splashing festival for our fellow Myanmar FTs, we should also not forget the other FTs whom have made significant contributions to our country. One such group is the Jap community here and I think we should have the Kanamara Festval (Penis Festival) to make them feel at home.

The festival worship something which all Singaporeans can identify and everyone can join in the fun. It is also environment friendly as it does not need water and the sculptures can be reused. There should also be a competition to see who can make the best penis sculpture using recycled materials.

The Japs have provided jobs for Singaporeans by setting up companies here and the have produced Sonys, PSPs and Jap Porn etc. which we have grown up with and which has become a part of our daily lives. So I don't think anyone will complain if we have a little celebration for them.

I'm not sure if you are being slightly sarcastic, but I'm actually quite sincere in agreeing with your suggestion.
Why?
Ok, there are certainly exceptions and there are certainly some bad hat jap expats around, but by and large, I think the jap expats by and large are more useful than many other "FTs", especially those who come here to take away mid level office and executive jobs from singaporeans and those who come here to work as retail staff, without adding any extra value to the economy as a whole.

The male jap expats generally are sent here by their jap mnc parent companies to be the bosses or to "oversee" the local operations here. These are really those cases that the government keeps talking about, those FTs who come here as a result of their home company having operations here.
But most of us in the know here are aware that most other types of FTs are here at the "invitation" of our government, who don't know or don't want to know the social problems that they are causing. These "FTs" have nothing to do at all with helping to "create" jobs in singapore, in fact, the reverse is true.

The wives by and large do their own thing, go shopping quietly, have tea among themselves, look after their children, generally going about their lives without getting into entanglements like other types of FTs. I'm aware that many of them even do charity work.
The families generally keep to themselves, the husbands are one of the reasons why the mncs stay here, the wives do charity work. We should indeed celebrate with them.

The Japanese in general are very polite and tidy. And they always know where to eat very nice Japanese cuisine.

Some Japanese kids used to have football training at a stadium near my house.

Before they leave the stadium, their Japanese mothers would without fail help to pick up litters everywhere in the spectator stand (some of which were not even littered by them!), leaving the place cleaner than when they came.

These people are so civic minded.

I certainly don't mind having more of them around.

Yeah, we can organize a "Sushi Festival" for our Jap guests.
We can also celebrate the Japs' victory over the Brits and Allies in Singapore too. We can tell them they are all forgiven for the atrocities and war crimes even when they don't write the truth in their history books, referring to it an "incident". Make them feel welcome even when they have chopped off our grandfathers' heads. Singapore will go to bed with any foreigner. We are just like a prostitute country.

If this goes well we can organise a "Phallic Festival" too. It will certainly help to increase the low birth rate the PAP is lamenting and blaming the citizens for.
