As a regular visitor to JB I have had increasing taste of the Spore hospitality on retuning to Spore. The problem is not in leaving Spore, but on coming back. If you take a cab make sure you factor in at least an hour for spot checks
When taking a bus expect questions on the contents of your pockets. I was surprised the first time that happened.
On a recent trip, the cab I was in was pull up for closer scrutiny. Everyones bags & pockets were searched. They checked my shoes, pulled out the insoles & patted me down. They even patted down my socks. They were short staffed & there was a delay of 1 hour.
They told me it was a regular check & nothing special. So on any given day they do this to other Sporeans & non-Sporeans.
I've visited many 1st world & 3rd world nations and only in Spore have I been searched as part of a routine If you are unlucky enough to be stopped, expect a delay of an hour.
Welcome to Spore
