<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> A HOTEL waiter was jailed a total of seven months on Tuesday for stealing a guest's electronic keycard and criminal trespass. Vijayanthiran Rajamanikam Rajagi, 23, a Malaysian, pleaded guilty to stealing the keycard from a 30-year-old French flight stewardess at Swissotel The Stamford and trespassing into her room with intent to insult her modesty on June 29. The court heard that the victim was in her room when she fell asleep after ordering room service. Vijayanthiran's colleague who went to deliver food opened the door with a master keycard after getting no response from the victim who was found sleeping. The colleague reported this to his supervisor in the presence of Vijayanthiran who then entered the victim's room with another set of master electronic keycard. There he stole the stewardess's keycard and used it to enter the room several times. The victim was awakened at around 4.30am when she felt someone touching her. On seeing Vijayanthiran lying beside him, she shouted and immediately rang her colleague to report the incident. Vijayanthiran was later identified by the victim as the one who was in her room. Six other charges including one of outrage of modesty were taken into consideration during his sentencing.
