long piak salesmanship technique. very unprofitable. tiagong salesman have to ownself buy car.

Cars used for test drives are insured by the dealer.

However there is usually an excess of around $1000 that the customer will have to pay.

If the customer has his own car insurance then he may be able to claim a portion or all of the excess charged by the dealer from his insurance company.

Jazz or FIT is one of the smallest but very fast pickup-speed cars though. Many Malay folks drive this.

fucking dumb bitch so small car also cant handle, shld just stick to riding PMD lah

that is true generally. in practice, I've heard of isolated cases of dealers forcing salesmen to buy cars they pranged while on the job.

There is no sales contract so there is no way the dealer can legally "force" the driver to pay. A test drive is not a purchase offer.

Anyone who pays up is an idiot.

not the customer. the salesman working for the dealer. something along the lines of you'll never work in the industry again. yes, the cases I heard of were indeed not legally entered into if you get my drift.

I have no idea why they would do that unless the dealership was trying to skimp on insurance cover. Possible with some fly-by-night parallel importer but certainly not with any authorised dealership.

never found out why. was told from the horses mouth that they had to pay up. Was frankly quite shocked. But on further speculation, it seemed possible with the characters involved. I never dug deeper.

Would be quite a comedy to see what transpired to result in this long piahk incident.
