Edward Luke Tessensohn Those are GREAT SUGGESTION Mr.Tan. Adding on, in short, public awareness and educating the public on the YOG is very important. Many patriots have put in their hard work to winning this and it would be an injustice (upon winning), to not boost up this event. We can also run volunteer programs, like those we did for IMF and WTO. YOG is not just for ...
See Moreyouth, or a responsibility of the MCYS & Sports Council, it is the responsibility of every Singaporean to make this a success ! The "Ra-Ra" needs to be done now...

Keng Hee Not sure if this is too radical an idea, but there should be no schooling during YOG. The kids could be more than ambassdors. Concerted effort to get these school children organised will be additional manpower that can put a face to the athetes. Instead of letting these kids stay home, they can be organised into teams in schools to experience the...
See More pride and joy of being part of the event. This is an event once in a life time for Singapore and Singaporeans. Unlike China, where manpower resources are plentiful, a few weeks away from school work will not cause a dent in our academic pursuit.

David Chia I agree the awareness among the general public about the YOG is still low, compared to public following whether World Cup will be telecast in Singapore. More visibility should be made in the public areas to drum up the mood. It's definitely a National event, and we need National awareness and participation.

Lim Boon Chuan I am one of the guilty ones, not knowing even when YOG suppose to be. We really need to rally our nation together to make YOG a success. It is being watch by the world and it concerns Singapore's prestige and reputation.
I guess the first and foremost is to raise public awareness. Mr Brian Tan had made a lot of good recommendations which will certainly get the ball rolling.
