苏35本身就是不错的战机，为俄罗斯最新一代的制空型战机，号称：第四代半战斗机，绰号：超侧卫。不仅对气动设计进行了修正，还换装了2台117S发动机，配备有矢量喷口，机动性极付款佳，有超机动战机的说法。航电系统也全面升级，尤其是“雪豹-E”机载相控阵雷达，并配备多款新型导弹，虽说以制空作战为主要任务，但是也具备对地、对海作战能力，属于多用途战机。

该机与越南已列装的苏30有不小的关系，自然属于非常合理的选择，在后勤维护等方面也非常方便，以前就有心引进了。越南空军的规模也不小，按正常每年需换装10架左右的新战机，才能维护其规模，实际连3架都不到，如今的缺口更多，故而越南可能需求一次订购至少24，也许36架苏35，那么总费用不会低了，以越南的军费水平很难承受，既便已经连年追加。
至于说影响吗？没什么吧。美空军把F22部署到日本冲绳，我们都不怕，还怕越南购买苏35战机？我们真没理由担心了。越南拥有什么样的战机都没有什么了，其实要担心还是越南自已吧。
