The tariffs in REALITY does NOT hurt China. It is only USA importers of China goods, even proven poor quality ones to make a buck that would be harmed, let alone the deadly Fentanyl drug that is produced in massive quantity & exported to USA, which cause much, so much harm to Americans.

Those importers of China goods will ultimately pass on the cost of tariffs (tax) upon consumers whom need such cheap & poor quality goods - that looks good on surface, but after a few days or months, it breaks down & WILL have to spend more to replace, rather than to buy a quality product from USA that costs more but lasts with guarantees.

For them American consumers whom are naively & willing to part with funds for such goods, the REVENUES from such tariffs will go into the National Treasury to fund social expenditures - healthcare, education, infrastructure, upskilling for jobs, etc, etc...

It will be the same for every Nation when they realized that they cannot afford to spend local hard earned monies to purchase goods from China, as such dependence will END innovation & entrepreneurship within one's own country & worse, make the exporter nation immensely wealthy & lead to consequences of domination & poverty within ones own nation....

1. For centuries, USA followed Free Market principles, open & transparent.

In order for a biz to thrive, an entrepreneur would have to choose between Quality or Quantity for survive in a competitive market. Many smart American entrepreneurs choose Quality, so as to achieve REPEAT customers thru BRANDING. Thus centuries old American biz establishments still survive today.


2a. However, China only followed the capitalist road in 1979 when the moron & devilish Mao whom SLAUGHTERED many thru his insane & prideful economic principles, finally left Earth.

The Chinese People are not fools. They realized that with a population size of 1.4 Billion, all they need to enrich themselves is just to sell cheap dollar products with 9-9-6 workers in sweat shops, with manufactured products that looks good, often copied from others & when they made their millions, they simply close shop & enjoy their wealth, with no concern even about guarantees....

A common China joke on guarantees:-

3. USA does not produce much goods is due to supposed Free Market competition, but which is not as Free as one thinks when other nations are NOT open & transparent.

When a Nation realizes how much they had lost due to such unlevel playing field, they will have to take measures, to help inculcate ENTREPRENEURSHIP within their own resource rich country, to earn an honest living, create jobs, provide for the economy, etc.

In the 60s, American parents would teach their kids about entrepreneurship - their kids as young as 6yrs old would set up lemonade drink stalls in the front lawns of their homes to sell lemonade drinks to passer-bys, to earn & save up enough to buy goods they like such as a Barbie doll.....so much had been lost over the years....

Hello Shakespear, you are getting out of your senses. It is clearly an understatement when you say it doesn't hurt China. And it's not just China, but every affected country, otherwise, why do they all need to protest? It'll definitely affect them because their goods are going to cost more in America. In time to come, ordinary Americans (but not those rich bastards like Trump and Elon as the increases are just a drop in the ocean for these bastards) will tighten their purse strings and buy only the essentials. As such, the exports from the targeted countries to the US will be tremendously slowed. Economists had already said that tariffs are bad for both the producing and consuming countries. It's not a win-win situation as the people of both countries will suffer eventually.

I can further tell you that Trump's tariffs are going to further enrich the wealth of him and his cronies, those rich American Oligarchs. Why? He had said that he'll be using the incomes from tariffs to reduce or even to replace Personal Income Tax. Common sense will tell you that only the rich pays Income Tax, not the poor. Clearly, he's robbing the poor to pay to the rich.

As for Fentanyl, can you explain why other countries don't have this problem with their citizens other than America? Why not Europe, Canada, Japan, Korea, India, Asia, etc. Clearly, the fault lies squarely on the lack of controls and enforcement (by their import and customs divisions) on the American side.
