However, attempts to negotiate a deal with Ukrainian President Zelensky and Russian President Putin were unsuccessful, and he failed to secure the nuclear deal with Iran.

May PrezTrump keep his cool.
He had done what was right to save precious lives on both sides in this senseless war. USA under him have NOTHING TO LOSE by being the PRAGMATIC World Leader, & his name will go down in Humankind history as doing what was good to save lives....
In a war, there can only be ONE winner. UKR had PROVEN that they are not going down on knees, no matter the costs of lives, & RUS too is showing that it will not go down on knees to save PRIDE of leadership, to hell with depleting stocks, economy & lives.
It is HIGH STAKES that PrezTrump had done to save lives. However, in a gamble, the HOUSE ALWAYS wins. Either way, eventually when SANITY returns, UKR will realized that wars are not won by courage alone, but FINANCIAL assistance. & RUS too will have to eventually realized that it will disintegrate in its military adventures as happened in the Soviet - Afghanistan campaign.....& USA comes clean, either richer with mineral deals, or a World leadership competitor gone....
Such are only stark & brutal realities that leaders will have to face eventually to come to their senses, less the rhetoric.....
