During her live broadcast on social media recently, Nur Sajat detailed an alarming moment when she almost became a victim of sexual assault by an Arab man. According to her, the assault took place at her beauty salon in Australia.
“Two weeks ago, I was threatened at my salon. This Arab man attempted to rape me,” she revealed in the video. Following the incident, Sajat hasn’t open her salon for several days, as she is still traumatised. The trans figure claimed, “They are very obsessed with me. They’ll take advantage whenever they see us.”
During the same broadcast, Sajat said that she has lodged a police report about the case. Additionally, she’s currently seeking therapy to overcome her anxiety and trauma from the dark episode. The 38-year-old then revealed that all the losses she suffered – amounting a total of AUD 15,000 (~RM44,800) including her rental cost – will be paid by the government. The offender, on the other hand, is required to pay the amount to the government.
In detailing the traumatising incident, Sajat revealed that the culprit was a regular customer of her salon. He was doing eyebrow waxing at that time, when he told Sajat he wanted to “have sex” with her. “He closed the door, and he told me that he likes me. Then I said, ‘Please don’t do this to me. This is my workplace,” she recalled.
When she wasn’t entertaining his advances, he got physical. “He tried to touch me, grabbed my neck and slapped me. I was stunned. The guy was so tall, around 6’2”. I didn’t fight him, because if I did, things could get worse. I might die,” Sajat said in the video, before she started crying.
Many netizens sympathised with the scary incident Sajat had suffered and left their warm wishes to cheer her up. “I’m sorry for what you went through, Sajat. I know Australian police will take this case very seriously. Let’s hope they lock him in jail. Take care dear and stay strong,” one fan wrote in the comments. “That’s very dangerous.
