May more at the least watch our local movie 'Money no enough 3' to UNDERSTAND the psyche of PrezPutin.
That movie was a localized adaptation of the great novel by Joseph Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness', which realistically portrayed how a Human can descent into darkness & embrace the dark side, a theme used in many Hollywood movies, & played rather well on a limited & localized relatable view/basis by our local actor Mr, Mark Lee.
In that movie, when confronted with questions for his questionable & immoral behavior, the actor Mr Mark Lee gave specious answers when confronted with evidences & suspicions of his immoral wrong doings, even to his own beloved daughter, staff, let alone to a TV interview. His presumptions truthfully admitted in private to his daughter was that that's what fools would believe & expect - swearing, INSTEAD of providing realistic & honest answers, will he succeed.
So What did PrezPutin used as a collateral for his guarantee?
-His aged life at the expense of freedom lacking RUS citizens when NO mortal lives forever. let alone this senile old fool of a President?
-RUS Nukes when with Free World's laser targeting would ensure that RUS nukes launched would be destroyed even before such leaves RUS or its allies territories?
-17 RUS OVER STRECHED borders with troops, ammo, logistics, command & control, etc?

Europe is reluctant to interfere in Ukraine. US instigated a eastward NATO expansion which was unecessary and eventually reached the russian borders.
Two things here.
EU working with Russia is a threat to US militarily, economically and financially as EU has its own currency.
US tried to counter EU industrial might with NAFTA, but it only benefitted mexico.
and Russia was no threat to europe hence reason why european military is in such a weakened state and have been downsizing since collapse of USSR.
the EU-Russia economic cooperation must be destroyed if US want to maintain its dominance. The rest will be written in the history books.
It is the US and UK that was instigating for a fight against Russia. But indirectly. Using NATO countries bordering Russia and regime change in Ukraine.
Ukraine was invited to be a EU member, unlike Russia which was rebuffed. And Russua gave it a choice. Joining EU means open border trade with russia will be shut. Ukraine cannot benefit both ways. So the leadership decided to stay within russian economic pact as russia's was its biggest trading partner. But joining NATO is non negotiable. Ukraine cannot be a NATO member armed with missiles aimed at Moscow that will take just 5 minutes to reach its targets.
