Ukraine is lucky that Russia is its neighbour. If it is America, Ukraine would have split into multiple small nations, being sanctioned like Cuba, and have huge number of America CIA agents into the country and probably planted a military base there to assassinate any leaders who try to be disobedient to the Western powers.
