Everyone knows that the US is spreading disinformation as well as trying to stir shit in China, especially in Xinjiang, Tibet, HK and Taiwan. You don't need an expert to tell you this.
Their target is the disintegration of China into several disunited regions, hence ensuring that China will never surpass US as the world's pre-eminent power.
China (and Russia) is also spreading disinformation about the US, esp on social media using their worldwide network of pink supporters, but for a different reason: not to destabilise the US but to paint a bleak picture of Western democracy to their own citizens so as to dampen their aspirations for a transition to a democratic system of governance.
Big power politics is ugly, and is never about truth, morals or ethics. There are no saints in this game. It's about power and control. The winner gets to call the shots, and write history.
