PEASANTPORE: Politicking in Peasantpore has changed permanently following the recent General Erection, The Grand Communicator Tarman tried his very hard to explain on Sunday after numerous peasants and regime minions tried to spin the outcome based to their hidden agendas (Jul 19).
First Tarman skillfully tries to save face for everyone by stating the outcome of the Erection was good for Peasantpore, he said in a Facebook post, he stressed the results were good for the Party Against Peasants (PAP). He gave two reasons for the latter point.
Firstly, the regime retains the Blank Cheque as it controls 90% of the seats in the Imperial Court, showing that there are always peasants who tremble and obey the Ruler Loong's edict to sarpok them during the Procedural Erections. However Tarman's assertion that the peasants' intact trust for the regime is weaker as his attempts to paint the swing from an unusual high in GE2015.
“Second, the swing in votes (though from an unrepeatable high in 2015) is leading the regime to review its own game so as to win the hearts, and not just the minds, of a changing electorate,” he said.
Tarman added that the results were also good for opposition politics after they survive the 2015 Opposition Winter.
“The stronger support for the Jane Austen inspired Labour, with its more youthful and reasonable brand and rejection of personalty cult, reflected a discerning public and a political culture that bodes well for Peasantpore.”
Tarman may find it hard to concede that the dissenters also fielded more peasant candidates who were able to speak properly without historical elitist baggage or shooting themselves in their own feet.
“The regime addicted to more of the same, so you see more high flying corporate, civil service or military junta superstars who failed to convince peasants that they can connect with them to solve their problems, not explain away their issues. The younger peasants read Jane Austen books and are convinced they can choose the representatives that they support, not vote for PAP's choices out of political fear, economic uncertainty and character demonising doubts. Finally Peasants want some peasants to check on the regime. This is similar to the Ang Moh concept of 'Check and Balances'.
“If peasants do desire, then the regime and dissenters have to make this new balance work well for Peasantpore. That will happen if we have vigorous and informed debate in Imperial Court between the overwhelming dominant PAP and the smaller crew of dissenters on the policies that each advocates, with the dominant refraining from elitist sneers, m&d slinging, demonisation and Stalinist lawsuits,” he said.
Tarman reminded everyone that both the regime and the dissenters must evolve to serve local peasants' interests through edicts that can stand the test of time. However he can but was unable to resist hinting dissenters tend take clever potshots at the well paid regime minions for comic effect and Labour's tactics to promise benefits without revealing the costs because Kee Chew refused to provide relevant data.
“Cockles had the regime by it's balls by simplifying the differences between the regime and labour such that even a mission school boy now understood what set them apart. The regime is now on the defensive, it has to do more to achieve affordable long term social justice - strengthening social mobility; raising the pay of our lowest income peasants without risking unemployment; ensuring middle-aged peasants continue to have good careers to feed their families; giving greater peace of mind to our older and poorer peasants and being able to sustain the benefits for them over time.
"We can never claim the House of Lee's Neo-Confucian model is superior to the enlightened Jane Austen's ideal of choices - Asiatic societies must move forward out of its own autocratic history and feudalistic social circumstances. But there are challenges that all Asiatics, faced with choices must face that we too must address, not rule and we must do so in a way that reflects the changing aspirations of peasants after they read other western political theory works say, the Bills of Rights," he said.
Tarman suggested the outcome said that it will be good if Peasantpore could evolve in three ways. First, by becoming a Nordic equality driven democracy with a strong centre. This can be done by avoiding the “Anglo-Saxon Winner Takes All” idea that many other polarised democracies have drifted into.
Peasantpore must also become a democracy that keeps working to promote multiracialism in society, as well as a more tolerant Nordic democracy with greater space for divergent views and a more active civil society. However Tarman missed the later point because PAP that make a mountain out of a molehill over Khan's 2018 online comments during the 2020 General Erections. It is the PAP using promoting divisive or unsettling the majority by demonisation Khan as a rabid racist and thankfully it was rejected by brave Sengkang Rebels.
Tarman mused that these ways will each help ensure stability in Peasantpore’s democracy in the years to come as he begins to fade off the scenes, and they will tap on the energies and ideas of a younger generation of peasants and their desire to be involved in public affairs and be less indolent God Kings worshipers, he added.

Peasants do not want a Founders' Museum glorifying House of Lee's Founding Autocrat in Marina, let alone an Appointed President or be Pofma literally.
