There're only about 10,000 police in Singapore. Expect them to be everywhere? If they're everywhere, then you worry and complain it's a police state!

They have the IC/passport photo of everyone

Run a smart digital scan and you can get these pests

Cheebye useless poodles

One resting his eyes after a tiring case only. If you got robbed and call 999, I'm sure if he's the one in the area to receive the message, he'll rush to help you. You'll be glad he got some rest and is more energetic when helping you.

Just wack them and grind them up and sell their meat to fisheries !

why people out there anti poice, u should see wat image the poice had given. they r not neutral and run by a bunch of nerdy selfish sissy scholar from senior position and mostly fatty boom boom from junior counterpart. spf was so different compare to few yrs back, they r marketing like a commerical industry and had lost the real mission. ground officers now's a day suffer a dramatic level high of pressure from the top management, the ground officers now's a day simply no passion, no courage, no soul. a general "good' person will not stay in spf, the remaining one only consist the pension scheme officers and waiting payday one. of course lots of po lang pa one out there licking their officers smelly ass

On training attachment to old Pearl's Hill, I've actually answered 999 calls myself. You should hear what most of those idiots called about. Anyway, for serious emergencies, target response time for 999 cars were 10 minutes anywhere anytime in Singapore. Non-emergencies are routed to divisional patrol cars or NPPs, that should be anytime between 15 to 20 minutes.

That was then, my old good times. Now, I don't know.

Cause i despise you lot, gangsters, robbers and pah kias with license. The only difference between the dregs of society and the police is that the latter have uniforms, training and firearms

There's no such thing as police (or army) neutrality. They carry out the laws and policies passed by the government of the day. If opposition can win more seats in Parliament to pass their laws, they would enforce those too.

For example, there's no such thing as police seeing someone with drugs and letting him go because he's neutral about the death penalty. If the cabinet orders a blanket bombing of Johor, the air force can't be neutral about innocent but inevitable collateral civilian casualties.

Ever since they let that German girl off because of 0.01g of heroin less, I have lost all respect for the authorities. Doesn't matter whether the Police had any say in the matter, ultimately, they still form part of the machinery that is oppressing the peasants.

In the past used to read in the papers about the many crimes that was quickly stopped or closed by undercover police officers. Don't know if it was true or just propaganda put out by the state media

Nowadays hear about assault cases being treated as civil crimes. Police arresting photographers, being used to harass opposition, slow response times..... :(

To be honest I don't have a high opinion of Spore gov't officials

That's judicial decision. Nothing to do with police.

You want police to able to say, hey steal a chocolate bar only, nevermind?

No, police job is not about deciding the guilt or severity.

That's the judiciary job.
