文章称,中国海军正在打造强大的航空母舰编队,这将是世界上第二大规模的航母舰队,但是,中国海军目前缺乏舰载预警(AEW)飞机。想要打造能能够和美军抗衡的舰载机部队,这款飞机十分重要。
文章表示,随着空警-600预警机的推出,这种情况将会改变。空警-600看起来非常像美国海军的E-2C“鹰眼”预警机。

The article said that the Chinese navy is building a strong aircraft carrier formation, which will be the second largest aircraft carrier fleet in the world. However, the Chinese Navy currently lacks carrier based early warning (AEW) aircraft. To build a carrier based aircraft force that can compete with the U.S. military, this aircraft is very important.
The article said that with the launch of the air police-600 early warning aircraft, this situation will change. The air force 600 looks very much like the U.S. Navy's E-2C Hawkeye.

Their fuselage is relatively small and can accommodate just four to six crew members. The radar is installed in a large rotating cover at the top of the fuselage. Finally, the tail is divided into several smaller vertical stabilizers, like World War II bombers.
At present, it is not clear whether the air police-600 radar can rotate like the "eagle eye" early warning aircraft. Another option is to use three or more fixed arrays to cover all directions. China has used both methods on different aircraft. Satellite photos show only a darker leading edge. This means that it may have only one radar array, which logically has to rotate to cover a 360 degree direction. The exact radar configuration may be confirmed in future photos.

According to the article, it is still a question mark whether the air police-600 can take off and land from China's first two aircraft carriers, because these two aircraft carriers use ski take-off without catapults. But China's first shipborne AWACS are real, and are seen as a major development and capability leap for the Chinese navy. Shipborne AWACS, together with new aircraft carriers and operational facilities, are part of a dramatic change in the strength of the Chinese navy.

After the EXPENSIVE accident, the maintenance team jack lifted up the aircraft from the airfield and tested the landing gears, it worked immediately as the sweating maintenance head pulled the landing gear levers!! That means the landing gears were not faulty.

THE BOI STILL FOUND THE LANDING GEAR FAULTY HOWEVER - TO COVER UP RSAF ASS! Then Mindef Demanded USA manufacturer to cover the repair cost. USA pointed middle finger to PAP! & PAP Lan-Lan forked up huge billions over subsequent years to fix the grounded Expensive Junk.

Pilots only lost their wings but still serving PS & Regulars working on ground in RSAF base. They should had been hung by Court Martial.
