Dear Bros & Sisters,
This coming election is a very important one in the history of Singapore that may very well decide on which path we will be taking in the next 5 years. In order to reach out to voters and convince them not to vote for the “higher mortals” who have lost touch with the ground, we are appealing to all to help give us your friends’, colleages’ and relatives’ handphone numbers.
We are appealing for your help in the gathering of handphone contacts for the purpose of mass SMS of messages to reach out to voters, advising them to vote wisely in the coming election. In short, we need to send more political parties into our parliament so as to stop the perpetuation of a 1-party state system which clearly has failed us in the last 5 years. Using SMS to reach out to voters is an effective option because a substantial number of voters do not get their information from the Internet and rely on the state-controlled mainstream media instead.
Anyone who is keen to help can provide your handphone contact numbers in the following format:
+65xxxxxxxx;+65xxxxxxxxx;+65xxxxxxxx;……………………………………….;+65xxxxxxxx
You can use the Notepad and save the contact numbers into a text file. Then e-mail it to [email protected].
This is a genuine call for help and not a hoax or an attempt to harvest contact numbers for any commercial purpose. All numbers will be kept confidential and we will delete them upon forwarding of the electoral message. Please ensure that the contact numbers belong to Singaporeans who are 21 years and above because there is no point wasting SMS credits on those who can’t vote, especially the foreign talents in Singapore.
Let us all do our part for this important election that will probably decide the future of our nation. Indeed, 2011 is a turning point of Singapore!
Thank you.
