Uncle In Loyang Removes N95 Mask To Smoke In The Haze; Old & Apt Video Goes Viral Again
mustsharenews.com

Making sure he doesn’t inhale the noxious haze, one uncle at Loyang diligently puts back on his N95 mask in between cigarette puffs.

The video showing the man in front of the Eagle Services Asia building at Loyang is actually an old one. It was uploaded onto STOMP back in 2015.

Nevertheless, it was uploaded again onto Facebook page All Singapore Stuff yesterday (22 Sep) where it has been shared more than 1,000 times. And how apt it is, given that the haze is back. To the smokers among you, take heed from this uncle. Your lungs are important.

A video of him smoking, pretty much

That’s pretty much it — the uncle putting on his N95 mask in between puffs. If you really need a description of it, he puts the cigarette to his mouth, inhales deeply, lets out of a trail of smoke, and then hurriedly puts on his mask for a short breather.
If you’ll recall, the haze during 2015 was quite terrible. That was the year the PSI in Singapore hit a record high of 471. We might as well have been in a Silent Hill set.

So maybe the uncle really was doing something right for his lungs. Smoking is bad for the lungs, yes, but that doesn’t mean you should go ahead and breathe in haze just because you’re already inhaling bad things.

We hope that he managed to save his lungs from a little extra smoke by putting his mask back on between puffs. After all, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
What do you think of the uncle’s crafty way of dealing with the haze while preserving a means of relaxation? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
