What allegedly led to the teenage suspect charging at the CNB officer
In the early morning of 19 February, CNB officers were conducting a search of the 19-year-old's home along Clementi Avenue 4.
While combing through the master bedroom, the teenager — who was hiding behind curtains — suddenly charged towards the female officer with a knife, the CNB said. He was swiftly unarmed, subdued, and arrested by the officers.
The teenager is now under investigation by the police for criminal intimidation and drug offences. A 21-year-old Singaporean man in the same unit, later found to be a friend of the teenager, was also arrested for suspected drug abuse.
Another drug raid in Clementi two days later
Two days later, four Singaporean men, age 58 to 69, were arrested for suspected drug trafficking in a residential unit at Clementi Avenue 2.
According to the CNB, an officer saw items being thrown out of the bedroom window before the arrest.
About 1,788g of heroin, 19g of "Ice", and various drug paraphernalia were scattered at the foot of the block, and were later recovered and confiscated, the CNB said.
