A teenage Muslim convert jailed for plotting a music festival terror attack has reportedly stabbed 10 prison officers since being put behind bars.

When he was 15, the British teenager - who cannot be named - was caught by the FBI as he planned a terror attack on the Isle of Wight music festival and was jailed for seven years.

The boy searched for knives, stab vests and pick-up trucks and researched the event's security arrangements before abandoning the plan because he couldn't drive or find a vehicle.

He instead decided to 'slice' the throat of a teacher at his special educational unit who he believed had insulted Islam but was eventually arrested.

He was found with a knife in his rucksack and notes saying farewell to his mother and grandmother and begging them to become Muslim.

UK counter terrorism police became aware of the teenager as a result of information shared by the FBI from instant messaging platform Discord.

The teenager planned to target the event in 2022 after he 'adopted an Islamic extremist mindset', a court heard.

The court heard that since his arrest, the youth had been involved in 18 separate offences of attacking staff at a detention centre and using makeshift weapons.

After he was sentenced, the teen - now 17 - was locked up in Feltham Young Offender Institution in West London, where he has reportedly continued attacking staff.

Sentencing him to seven years in youth custody, Mrs Justice McGowan said the youth was an 'isolated and troubled young man who looked for the fellowship and comfort of religious faith' and 'came to believe it was acceptable to kill those who insulted his faith.'

But he reportedly enjoys a cushy life behind bars, as he has his own cell with a TV, DVD player, games console, desk and ensuite toilet.

Guards are said to don full riot gear when they deliver food or let him out to shower or exercise.

The 17-year-old Islamist sliced off one's ear and attacked another after, and tried to convert fellow detainees at weekly prayer meetings.

A source told The Sun: 'The first attack happened in the reception area on the day he arrived at Feltham.

'He asked a guard if he was Muslim, and when he said 'No', stabbed him

'Yet he's also allowed treats from the canteen, and loves Pringles. He's babied and mollycoddled.'

The Youth Custody Service said: 'All assaults on staff are taken extremely seriously.'

The youth was found with a handwritten note titled 'To My Family' in the event anything happened to him, which said whatever he did would be 'driven by hatred of the 'kuffar'

The schoolboy, from Cowes on the Isle of Wight, w
as jailed for seven years in April after researching its music festival as a potential target.

The annual Isle of Wight music festival took place between June 16 and 19 2022 with an attendance of around 90,000.

In the days before, the boy made four searches for a 'fast lorry' and 21 for pickup trucks and Ford trucks.

He performed 21 searches for knives at Waitrose and B&Q and also looked for hunting knives and swords.

Another convert, aged 16 messaged the youth via Instagram on July 4, asking: 'I heard you were going to attack the festival, is this true?'

The boy replied: 'Correct. But I had no car.'

Instead, the youth planned to attack individuals who worked at the educational unit for pupils with 'complex needs' where he was studying.

On July 6, the told another Discord user that he was planning to do an attack 'for Allah' and that he 'stole a knife from a kafir 2day.'

When asked, 'What's the plan?' he responded: 'To slaughter a kafir.'

The youth, who had the screen name TawhidOverKufir - meaning 'god over disbelief' - planned his attack for July 11, 2022 but was arrested that afternoon.

His bag was searched and a stainless steel kitchen knife recovered, along with a series of handwritten notes.

One note on a torn off piece of card, stated: 'Did you think you could commit major sins such as eating pork. We see ur aggression. Stay away from the Muslims unless you want your throat sliced.'

A second note, titled 'To My Family' had the word 'Mum' and read: 'Please know that anything which happens did not be caused by you [sic] and what you limited me from doing. Rather if anything does happen then it was fueled by my hatred to the kuffar.'

The youth was also found guilty of sharing links to graphic ISIS propaganda videos called Ma Vengeance - 'My revenge' - and 'O Disbelievers of the World.'
