POSB's $2 penalty

'A $1,500 daily balance is not easy. $2 is the price of a meal. POSB should not forget its mission as a people's bank.'
MR TAY SENG HUAT: 'POSB's reputation remains as a people's bank, as it was when it opened. But last year, POSB introduced a charge of $2 if the average daily balance in one's bank account falls below $1,500. We have just clawed our way out of recession and every dollar counts for many Singaporeans. To keep a $1,500 daily balance is not an easy feat and $2 is the price of a meal for many. POSB should not focus its sights on its profit sheet alone and forget its original mission as a people's bank.'

Many Singaporeans do not even have $1500 in their savings. So how can the UBS study be wrong.

It is one thing about telling lies. It is another thing to wear religious garb and tell lies.:oIo:
