Two teenagers nabbed for suspected housebreaking
Published on Oct 12, 2012
By Pearl Lee
The police have arrested two teenagers for their suspected involvement in at least six housebreaking cases.
The suspects - a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old female - targeted corridor Housing Board units where the windows were left either unsecured or could be easily forced opened.
The police believe the suspects used a "fishing" method to steal from the units. The male suspect would extend his hand through the window to reach for valuables such as wallets, cash, and handphones, while the female suspect acted as a lookout.
The cases took place at HDB units in Sembawang, Serangoon, and Woodlands.
