Two teenage burglars, aged 15 and 16, arrested

SINGAPORE - Two youths aged 15 and 16 have been arrested by the police on Friday (Sept 18) for their suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft at Woodlands Street 13.
The victim reported to the police on Sept 16 that his house had been burgled, with cash and jewellery amounting to about $3,950 missing. The lock to his bedroom had been damaged.
The youth suspects were subsequently arrested at Woodlands Avenue 1, the police said in a statement Friday.
Both suspects will be charged in court on Sept 19 for housebreaking and theft, which is punishable with up to 10 years of jail time and a fine.
