SINGAPORE - Two men, aged 39 and 53, were arrested on Thursday for their suspected involvement in a case of theft at a jewellery shop.
One of the men had entered a jewellery shop along New Bridge Road on May 30, pretending to be a customer, and asked to see two long gold chains worth about $8,000.
However, when the shop assistant handed the gold chains to the man, he turned around and fled. The Straits Times understands that the other suspect was waiting outside the shop in a get-away vehicle.
Several other shop assistants gave chase but failed to capture the suspects.
