Two offices broken into

TWO adjacent office units at Bock 11 in Kallang Place were broken into between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
A clerk at one of the offices, which belongs to a plastics company, had locked up the premises at 5pm on Tuesday before leaving work.
The 40-year-old woman came back the next morning at about 7.40am and found the main door forced open and the latch damaged.
Further checks revealed that $3,700 had been taken from desk drawers and metal containers used to store money. A mobile phone was also missing.
The office unit next door, belonging to a metals company, later also found that its premises had been ransacked. There were no signs of a break-in, but several chequebooks had been taken.
There was another break-in in Jurong East on Tuesday.
A thief broke into a flat in Block 101, Jurong East St 13 and stole more than $2,000 in cash and valuables.
One of its occupants, a 21-year-old man, had locked the metal grille gate at about 10am and left the keys near the window. leaving the wooden door unlocked.
He then went to sleep, and was woken up at about 5pm by his mother, who found the metal grille gate unlocked when she returned home.
On checking, $1,400 was found missing from the flat, as well as three mobile phones worth a total of $1,080. The padlock used to secure the gate and keys to the flat were also missing.
