Two men charged with having sex with underaged girls

SINGAPORE: Two men were charged separately in court on Wednesday with allegedly having sex with underaged girls.

21-year-old national serviceman Liwan Wai Yin Keivin allegedly committed the offence with a girl, who was under 16, sometime between June and October 2009.

Royston Siak How Xian, a 20-year-old, was charged with six counts of having underaged sex with two girls between May and October 2009. One of the girls was under 14 and the other was 15.

If convicted, both men can be jailed up to five years and fined up to S$10,000 each.

They are due in court again on August 3.
