Two men arrested over restaurant break-in
SINGAPORE: Police said they have arrested two men, aged 24 and 25, who are believed to have broken into a restaurant to steal money.
In a statement Friday, police said they received a report at about 3.10pm on Monday that a restaurant at Harding Road had been broken into.
The restaurant’s safe was damaged and S$28,000 in cash was reported stolen.
Police said following investigations, they established the identity of a suspect.
The 24-year-old suspect was arrested at Hougang Ave 3 at about 10.30pm on Thursday.
Subsequently, police established the identity of his 25-year-old accomplice, who was arrested at Sengkang East Road.
A total of S$23,635 was recovered from the suspects. - CNA/ec
