about FTs in general and Indians in particular.
I was on a double decker bus this evening standing near the door. At a stop, when passengers were boarding, my attention was drawn to the sudden standing up by two Indian FTs. As it turn out, they were giving up their seats
to an elderly Malay couple of whom the male was blind and carrying a white walking stick. The FT moved to my side as there were no vacant seats available. When we made eye contact, I gave them an approving nod which they returned with a smile. I asked them where they are from and they answered Chennai.
I can't help but wonder whether the old couple would have the same act of kindness bestowed on them if the two FT's had been local Sinkies!
That single act of kindness to a man who cannot see had enlightened a man who can but didn't! I'm ashamed!
