HKU or NUS you have to admit it's quite a feat to displace Tokyo U from the Top 3 spot.

Both have done very well.

I also think that Tokyo U (not that it is totally unbeatable) has dropped also because the bludgeoned domestic economy had them lowering entry standards for a bit in their bid to arrest the falling number of applicants as many of the prospective students that managed to graduate from high school have decided to make an earlier entry into the working world instead.

NUS also beat CUHK which is another giant.

Results seem skewed though, Tokyo and Kyoto way too low down.
