Two Chinese women missing in Thailand found, returned home safely

TUESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2025

They travelled on to a third country, prompting Thai police to coordinate with Chinese authorities to search for them

Two Chinese women who were reported missing after arriving in Thailand last week have been found in a third country and returned home, a senior Thai police officer said on Tuesday.

Pol Gen Thatchai Pitaneelaboot, national police inspector general, said that Wu Jiaqi, 21, and her friend had been found by Chinese authorities and were safely transported to China.

Thatchai said Wu’s father filed a missing-person complaint at Suvarnabhumi Airport Police Station on January 7. He told police that his daughter and her friend had arrived in Thailand on January 6 and he had not heard from her since.

Investigators found that the two women travelled in a white van from the airport to a hotel in Bangkok’s Lat Krabang area and spent a night there. They checked out at 9am the next day but their leaving the hotel was not recorded on closed-circuit TV because of a camera malfunction, Thatchai said.

He said police later learned that the two women had travelled on to a third country, prompting Thai police to coordinate with Chinese authorities to search for them.

Thatchai said Chinese authorities found the pair and returned them home on Monday, while Wu’s father has withdrawn the complaint made to Suvarnabhumi Airport police as well as thanking Thai authorities for their assistance.

Wu’s father told reporters that his daughter and her friend were found at the same place authorities had found Xingxing, a Chinese actor who was abducted from Thailand to Myanmar earlier this month.
On January 7, Myanmar authorities located the actor, whose real name is Wang Xing, in Shwe Koko, a town notorious for Chinese-run call-centre scams on the border with Thailand’s Tak province.

Xingxing told Thai police that he had been kidnapped by a Chinese gang after being lured to Thailand via a WeChat invitation for a film shoot. The gang held him captive in Myanmar, forcing him to train people in use of chat apps to scam victims in China.

Probably went to Thailand to sell cheebyes. Their fairer complexion will command higher prices than siambus.

It seems that the scam centres in SEAsia are evolving.

It is no longer the mere IT workers that they need. They are now even blatantly abducting top personnel for their scam operations, as they know that although they have the billions to hire the best - regardless if CEO armed with PhDs, or a club dancer, none of such would want to work for them, as none would want to become a slave to them under their necessary Authoritarian rule, kept in military-like compounds & either be tortured or beaten to perform or for failures....

Thus, as they evolved, so too must Humankind. They will not be under-estimated, & may have the best, but they are the few & Humanity is 7 Billion strong. With combined intelligence & education, they can be beaten in their own scam games.

Firstly:-
A.
When one receives an unknown caller call about being headhunted, DO NOT BE A SIMPLETON.
1)Ask SMART questions, such as who they are & who they represent
2)How did they know your number when you had never engaged them
3)What is the company dealing in & quietly assess if it is within your job scope, etc.

B) All employment agencies are biz entities with company name & addresses, as well as those whom they represent. It is only FAIR that you know who & what you are dealing with. Any so called agencies that refuses to give out info or threaten to give the 'opportunity' to some else would raise a red flag, as employment agencies earn commissions, & would prefer to ensure that you agree to the job IF you are truly headhunted - CEO or club dancer.

Secondly:-
Verify, VERIFY and VERIFY ALL details given
such as the caller & who they represent, as all legitimate biz would have a shop front address & landline telephone for verification purposes. Should any caller tell you that more details would be given upon meeting up, then itself is a red flag, as legitimate biz have nothing to hide. Only shady ones uses such means to con victims, as NONE would want to be involved in shady biz as it will come with consequences.

Thirdly:-
Should the details check out, NEVER, EVER allow the caller to pick you up at your home or airport, as such is where the ABDUCTION begins. They may make claims about one not knowing the location, fleeced by taxi drivers, etc, but in this modern age of Google maps, ANY location can be identified & clear instructions given to the legitimate site. And keep your itinerary confidential & flexible, to confuse any arrangements that they would make, as you are being so called headhunted, which means a legitimate company would be willing to make concessions upon time of meeting.

Fourthly:-
Always, ALWAYS & ALWAYS write down ALL details from the start of the call to your planned meeting, & pass such information to a family member or a close friend, so that should you go missing, they can file a police report & assist in investigations.

Whenever one is not sure if the source is legitimate or a scam - STOP before proceeding any further. Call :-
' 1800-722-6688
