Two arrested for robbery with hurt

SINGAPORE: Two men have been arrested on Monday (June 23) for separate robbery cases. One of them allegedly stabbed a victim in his thighs at Marsiling Drive. The other reportedly punched and kicked a woman along Orchard Road a week ago.
The Marsiling incident took place on Sunday, at about 10:30pm. The suspect stabbed a 44-year-old man and took his wallet and mobile phone. A passer-by found the victim lying in a pool of blood. The 54-year-old suspect was arrested near Marsiling Drive.
In the Orchard Road case, a woman was allegedly attacked at 6:53am on June 16, and suffered a cut on her forehead. The 45-year-old suspect fled with her mobile phone and wallet, and was caught at North Bridge Road.
Both suspects face up to 20 years' jail and no less than 12 strokes of the cane. - CNA/ly
