At least 21 people are reported to have died after a bus plunged into a river in India.
India's buses are notoriously overcrowded and accidents are common
The vehicle skidded off a flooded bridge and into the water while travelling through the state of Madhya Pradesh. Another 10 passengers are thought to still be missing, local police say. At least 40 other travellers swam ashore or were pulled from the water.
Indian buses are notoriously overcrowded - police say between 70 and 80 passengers were on the vehicle. India's roads also have the highest death toll in the world, according to the World Health Organisation. More than 110,000 people die annually nationwide in road accidents, according to police figures.
