Do you still remember the ironical advertisement by Transitlink called SUPER-RIDER where by they pictured Superman & Super-Woman with their red cloaks?

Then, when they introduce that scanning card HK already used it for 7 to 8 years.

However today PRC's system scan only the passengers' handphone for public transport.

The SIM card is the ID.

That means the Handphones are Electronic Wallets!

This is in use at ShengZhen now.

在一个月征集后,像张先生一样的300个市民,昨天如愿换领到了深圳通SIM卡, 成为手机深圳通首批试用者。手机深圳通,说白了就是手机卡与深圳通卡二卡合一。通过使用射频芯片(FRID)SIM卡,手机不但具备原有的通信功能,还具 备深圳通以及近距离、非接触、小额消费刷卡支付功能,成为名副其实的“手机钱包”,并支持未来丰富的联机在线支付服务。
从上月15日开始,手机深圳通向社会公开招募首批试用者。截至本月初,深圳移动公司共收到近万个市民申 请,经过核实和筛选,共有2000人获得了试用的短信邀约。昨天手机深圳通试运行的首日,共有300个市民凭邀约短信,成功在指定的深圳移动营业厅换领到 FRID-SIM卡。
据深圳通负责人介绍,“手机深圳通”试用期至5月,目前可在11路、21路、217路公交线上使用,有望在下半年大幅推广,实现在公交、地铁的普遍应用。
