【星島日報報道】食安中心公布，一款美國進口冰鮮生牛肉產品可能受大腸桿菌（O157:H7）污染，市民如購入有關產品應立即停止食用。中心會繼續留意事件和採取適當跟進行動，調查仍然繼續。
涉事冰鮮生牛肉為「美國極選安格斯鮮牛肉眼」，來源地為美國，包裝商是Aurora Packing Company, Inc.，進口商是一田有限公司，此日期或之前食用為2019年5月7日至13日。
中心指，透過食物事故監測系統，得悉美國當局發出通知，指有生牛肉產品懷疑受大腸桿菌（O157:H7）污染而正在當地回收。中心經初步調查發現上述本港進口商曾進口懷疑受影響產品。
中心隨即聯絡該進口商，確認曾進口約150公斤上述受影響產品，全部已在旗下零售點售罄，該進口商現正按中心建議展開回收。市民可於辦公時間致電進口商熱線26941111查詢上述產品回收事宜。
中心又表示，大腸桿菌可經由水及食物傳播而感染人體。飲用受污染的水或進食未烹煮熟透和受污染的食物可感染此菌而引起腸道傳染病，部分受感染的人可能會有腸出血及嚴重併發症如溶血尿毒症。另外，如忽略個人衞生，此病菌亦可經由口糞途徑在人與人之間傳播。大腸桿菌不能在高溫下生存，徹底煮熟食物即可消滅大腸桿菌。

[Sing Tao Daily reported] The Food Safety Center announced that a US imported chilled raw beef product may be contaminated by E. coli (O157:H7). People who purchase the product should stop eating immediately. The Center will continue to monitor the incident and take appropriate follow-up actions, and the investigation will continue.
The chilled raw beef is the "American Choice Angus Fresh Beef Eye", the source is the United States, the packager is Aurora Packing Company, Inc., the importer is Yada Co., Ltd., and the date is 2019 May 7-13.
According to the Food Accident Monitoring System, the US authorities informed that the raw beef products were suspected to be contaminated by E. coli (O157:H7) and were being recycled locally. Upon preliminary investigation, the Centre found that the above-mentioned local importers had imported suspected affected products.
The Centre immediately contacted the importer and confirmed that it had imported about 150 kilograms of the above-mentioned affected products, all of which had been sold at its retail outlets. The importer is now recycling according to the recommendations of the Centre. Members of the public can call the importer hotline 26941111 during office hours to enquire about the recall of the above products.
The center also said that E. coli can be infected by water and food. Drinking contaminated water or eating uncooked and contaminated food can infect the bacteria and cause intestinal infections. Some infected people may have intestinal bleeding and serious complications such as hemolytic uremia. In addition, if personal hygiene is neglected, the pathogen can also be transmitted from person to person via the mouth and mouth. E. coli cannot survive at high temperatures, and E. coli can be eliminated by thoroughly cooking the food.
