The following was put up by TR some time back. TR seems to suggest that some of the most prominent ideas PM Lee implemented during his term were "stolen" from former PM Goh.

Can Singapore continue to be relevant in this century which some has called it “The Age of the Unthinkable” – when changes are happening so rapidly from hour to hour, day to day around the globe ?
As long as the present leadership continue with the policies that have been successfully thought out by the past leadership, Singapore will remain like a floating flotsam not moving forward but sliding backward as the tide of time sweep us along with events that control us, while we remain helpless to control those events.
It seems that the leadership in China has taken a lesson from the multiple private funded think tanks in the USA, and formed their own think tanks to review critically their own performance; even to the extent of inviting the self-acclaimed talents to review events in China.
With his pride swollen by such recognition, MM LKY has failed to see that Singapore remains stuck with the past, as China untangle the grip of their venerable old guards beyond age 65, retire them into history so as to allow a younger generation of leaders age 50 to takeover COMPLETE control.
The present Government of PM LHL remains to afraid to exercise their own initiative, remaining boxed in by the shadow of MM LKY, and whatever “new” ideas that emerge are no more then cautious stop-gap measures instead of anything that can be said to be BOLD and NEW to face the challenges of the events of this 21st Century.
Even the IR projects were from the history book of PM GCT time in office, when he had wanted to have this projects but was prevented by then SM LKY from going ahead.
The Formula ONE project was also an idea from the past that was prevented by then SM LKY, who had thought it to be a waste of funds.
It is amazing that all these “old ideas” were found to be feasible when PM LHL is at the helm of the Government.
Unfortunately, these were ideas from the 1990s in the 20th Century, and already worn-out and superceded by these events having been tried in so many other places.
What new ideas are there from this current lot of self-acclaimed talents in the “Pro Alien Party” that can be said to be from this generation of self-acclaimed political elitist talents ?
Except for the hare-brained idea of growing a larger population so as to have a bigger talent pool, does this present lot of political talent have anything to show – when this hare-brained idea is no more then an attempt to replicate China’s large population that give China a larger pool of talent to be tapped.
If human resource is the answer that the political leadership from the “Pro Alien Party” believe is their answer, it is a bankrupt idea that is still born from the starting line.
With the “Pro Alien Party” leadership not listening to Singaporeans – whether the natural born or the New Citizens – is there any use for human resource that is depended by the “Pro Alien Party” to be mere digits to serve as digits in their machines, to be milked our private wealth and treasures so as to fill their coffers ?
Singapore will wither as the soil get overworked by the “Pro Alien Party” that do not have any clue as to allow the soil to breathe and revitalise for new crop to grow.
Singapore needs a new set of leaders, with new and bold ideas to see old problems with new visions, daring to try new ways, and change the old mindsets and old fears so as to face the perpetually and rapid changes that are occurring every second, every minute, every hour of the day all around this globe that can affect our lives.
It is sad but true, old men will need to know that their time has passed with their moments of accomplishments, and it is time to allow fresh and vigorous minds to run the next marathon.
It is even sadder, when old men cannot accept their own fragility but insist on being relevant despite their vain attempts to deny the physical and mental deterioration – which put all that they have accomplished at risks of their continued irrelevant interference.
