If the WP and SPP wants to allay the fears of voters who want to vote for the opposition but are afraid of a drop in their property price, they should provide some ball-park figures of the prices of the flats in Hougang and Potong Pasir on the resale market.
The WP and SPP should also address the claim that the property price will drop from their current values if a PAP consituency becomes an opposition constituency.
Merely banking on the "brave people" and the "spirit of Hougang or Potong Pasir" rhetoric may not sway a large number of voters who are more concerned about their self-interests.
