In today ST, traveller with ticket out of Padang Indonesia after the earthquake, was let down by Tiger Airway who cancelled their flights out. Tiger Air said airport close so flights cancelled.......BUT AIR ASIA AND LIONAIR WAS STILL CARRYING ON WITH THEIR OPERATIONs TO FLY THE STRANDED TRAVELLERS OUT! Some of the traveller has to resort to paying higher price to secure immediate tickets with Air Asia to fly out!

"In times of critical need, they back out of their role to serve their customers, i hv not and will never not fly Tiger Airway after this incident!!!!! "

Didn't they also stop services when there were demonstrations in Bangkok, abandoning their customers

Business is business lah. Its all about dollars & sense & not about customer satisfaction.

However If there are still Sporeans taking Tiger after all the reported fiascos who are you going to blame. Stupid customer or greedy business ?

Tiger Airways' founding shareholders are: Singapore Airlines Limited (49%); Indigo Partners LLC, the investment firm founded by Bill Franke (24%); RyanAsia Limited (16%); and Dahlia Investments Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd.

I won't be surprised if it follows the example of its ultimate shareholder and blame all its shortcomings on lower level staff while top management are amongst the best paid. Maybe will even blame on Singaporeans poor attitude and use it as excuse to hire more FT's.
