Three hurt after bus crashes into bus stop
LIPIS: A bus carrying 31 people skidded and rammed into a bus stop at KM12 of the Lipis-Merapoh road, near here, yesterday. Three passengers were injured in the 11.45am incident, which occurred two days after a bus crash near Pekan killed a passenger. Two of the injured passengers fractured their arms while another suffered a broken leg. They have all been warded at the Lipis Hospital.

District police chief Supt Abdul Razak Hassan said the bus, with two drivers and 29 passengers, had earlier left Kota Baru and was heading towards Kuala Lumpur. “Due to the wet condition of the road, because of a downpour earlier, the driver failed to control the bus. “It skidded and rammed into a bus stop before landing on its side,” he said. On Thursday, an express bus ferrying 33 passengers from Johor Baru to Kuantan skidded and hit a divider before plunging into a canal at Kampung Sungai Miang, near Pekan.
