To visit Yunnan, go to Kunming, Dali, Lijiang and Shangrila.

Of these 4 cities, I like Dali the best. Lijiang and Shangrila is over touristed. You wouldn't enjoy because their domestic tourism is a hell lots of people.

The bullet train must take first class, otherwise you better manage your expectations about noise pollution if you take second class.
