Does resident have the right to build a gate on this Cashew Road pathway?
STOMPer Visitor wonders if the resident who built this wall and gate at Cashew Terrace had the right to do so.
In an email to STOMP yesterday (Sept 11), the STOMPer said:
“These two pictures were taken near a row of two-storey terraced houses at Cashew Terrace.
“Behind the terrace houses is a stretch of ‘no man's land’ which was used by residents as a short cut to the bus stop at Cashew Road.
“Recently one of the owners decided to build a wall and a gate behind his house and thus other residents have no means of getting to the bus stop except by making a long detour.
“Does he own the land by virtue of proximity or does the land belong to someone else?
“This is the nadir of human selfishness!”
