Singapore will STOP counting Covid-19 cases as officials say it's time to 'live with this like the flu and get on with our lives'

  • Ministers in Singapore have laid out their vision for a future living with Covid
  • They say virus will become 'like flu' as vaccines and treatments reduce severity
  • Instead of keeping daily tally of cases, monitoring hospital admissions, ICU occupancy and deaths from the virus will become more important

If they're stopping the counting, surely SafeEntry and Tracetogether will have to go? Because none will be the wiser about who and how many infected people entered a particular mall or building.

Unless of course... two possibilities:

1) They're still keeping count, just not telling you about it. For political purposes.
2) The draconian tech surveillance has nothing to do with pandemic management.

No counting? Then evetyone stop trace apps n don need safe entry ,ktv , nightclub ,restaurant all open lah, talk cock ,because of scare lost election zhat why try to stop counting so 61% idiot sinkies will live in ignoranxe thing those clowns did a good job

Singapore depends on foreign and now who dares to come into Singapore to take the risk...

Try. When all countries ban Singapore travel it's the end of Singapore and unable to recover back...

for novices, if you keep looking at your cards in poker it means you have a good hand.

No PR data by nationalities as it would create ‘negative sensitivities’ - Shanmugam

https://sg.news.yahoo.com/no-pr-data-nationalities-negative-sensitivities-shanmugam-154354571.html

SINGAPORE — Singapore does not publish breakdowns of its permanent resident population by nationality as doing so may have implications on specific groups of PRs and create bilateral sensitivities with their country of origin, said Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam on Monday (5 July).

Shanmugam was responding in a written parliamentary reply to questions by Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh on the numerical breakdown by nationality of Singapore's PRs from each of the top 20 countries and further sub-divided by gender, and how many who were PRs for 10 and 20 years have not applied for citizenship at least once.

'negative sensitivities??', what the flying fuckerooy
anyone who believe this twisted logic should report IMH to straightaway,

CHINESE AIRCRAFT NOT REQUIRED TO CONTACT CAAS

An FIR is a specific region of airspace in which an air traffic services authority appointed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) provides and manages flight information and alerting services.

The current Singapore FIR, managed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), includes Singapore's national airspace as well as airspace over parts of Indonesia and the South China Sea. While Dr Ng said civilian aircraft must file a flight plan with CAAS when going through Singapore FIR, state aircraft - which includes military aircraft - are not required to do so under international law.

No need for foreign military aircraft to file flight plans with CAAS before flying through S’pore airspace: Ng Eng Hen
  • Military aircraft are not required by international law to file flight plans with other countries before flying through their airspace
  • Dr Ng made this point in response to questions from Workers’ Party MPs about an incident on May 31
  • That day, Chinese planes had flown through Singapore and Malaysian airspace
  • The Republic of Singapore Air Force had deemed that the flights were not a threat, said Dr Ng
