This is our new Singapore's Pledge

In view of what MM Lee has told us yesterday in parliament that our pledge is merely an "aspiration", henceforth, the new pledge will be now written as :

OUR PLEDGE

We, the citizens of Singapore,
aspire to be one united people,
regardless of race, language or religion,
aspire to build a democratic society
based on justice and equality
so as to aspire to achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for our nation.

Aspiration of an Ideal. Must explain that to the kids because like us when we were kids all had thought it was an order and not to be messed with!
