If they did, they would notice that the $40 million spent redoing the pavements, installing fancy street furniture and glass dividers is now plastered with thick layers of pigeon poo.
Walking between the poo on the pedestrian walkway can be a challenge, and who in his right mind would want to sit on a black marble bench that is now whitened by pigeon poo?
The worst stretch is from The Paragon and Ngee Ann City to The Centrepoint and Somerset MRT station. The most disgusting areas are outside The Heeren and Mandarin Meritus hotel.
The pigeon and crow population is getting out of hand in Orchard Road and surrounding areas. I appeal to the National Environment Agency to take effective measures to curb the breeding of these birds.
