Even my friends n colleagues of sp eo n pr, they already declare they will leave sg, even new citizen due policies only one of the couple as new citizens, n enjoyed benefits says test they will leave sg as they say nothing to gain ,lol, I Don know why we hv these rubbish here,lol, only one of the foreigners couple convert new citizens n they get to benefit n worse drive all prices up, n worse us their spouse hv properties overseas,lol, these show papigs are dumb or traitors at expense of local sinkies,lol, but 60 percent shoik

Should the worse happens in our country, foreigners have the free will to leave, & only comprehensible. This is not their homeland. There were here for a purpose, to earn money, & FULLY understood by our Elected govt.
In order to attract foreign investments & even local SME entrepreneurs, labor COST is a concern. If too high, especially IF NOT EVEN QUALIFIED with necessary skillsets & yet have to pay high salary & CPF, no one would invest & create jobs here.
So our govt understood, BUT at the same time, to find out what EXACTLY what are the causes & solutions to it while recruiting foreign talents in. Thus UPGRADING of Skills became the solution, so that ANY investor-foreign or local - have NO excuse to NOT hire local talents which abounds if they are not too self centered with demands beyond what any company can afford such as personal secretary, expatriate status such as condo housing, car, etc, but focused on the job that they were hired for.
As for blue collared jobs, it is understood that not many of our pampered & sheltered living citizens would want to undertake, unless it pays in thousands of dollars, far more than a graduate would get. Should our Elected govt bow to such citizens desires, than for sure our HDB homes, our transportations, our utilities, our Hawker food PRICES would be astronomical as SOMEONE would have to pay for it - taxpayers thru social expenditure or consumers.
Just for comparisons - a waitress in NZ earns at least $24/ HOUR. The Singapore waitress would be glad to receive $10/hr. HOWEVER, the food prices in NZ are staggering - NZ$30/meal (S$24) A Singaporean hawker meal cost only S$3 (cai peng - rice, veg & meat)
Without cheap labor from overseas, our DAILY expenses, loans, etc, would had been far higher than today. when one EXTRAPOLATE across industries - construction, shipping, services, etc.
Thus, when the crunch comes, foreigners are welcomed to leave, than to become a burden to us to look after them, to feed them when rationing of food & resources will be needed, to WATCH OVER them for security purposes, etc.
WE, Singaporeans, will have to look after ourselves & our loved ones when calamities come. No one alone can fight battles or resolved difficult issues. It is only us - WE - TOGETHER that we will make a difference, as our Founding & Forefathers had taught us....
