SEOUL - North Korea was reportedly on the verge Tuesday of test-firing more missiles, a move set to fuel tensions after its second nuclear weapons test drew condemnation around the globe.

It's hard to understand how so many countries including USA, China, Japan, South Korea and Singapore are giving money, food and fuel to North Korea to feed its people and overcome food shortages while its leaders are concentrating on producing nuclear missiles and military satellites.

It's like a father working hard and giving a naughty son money so that he can spend it on his smoking habits.

Why can't these countries put pressure on the North like Iran and Myanmar so that its people can grow disenchanted with their leaders and overthrow Kim Yong-Il so that its people can concentrate on producing food and a better standard of living?

North Korea's predicament is partly due to organizations like the UN and countries like the US placing it in perpetual trade embargoes.

Having nuclear could turn the tides for the North, especially when the rest of the world are more concerned with issues at home relating to their financial recklessness.

Israelis, had the Americans backing them while they faced off with a bunch of Arabs while the Koreans have the whole world against them, choking off almost all of their supplies and yet they solider ahead.

You really have to give it to them.

Isn't it similar in Singapore?

The average peasant works hard to save up monies in their CPF for their retirement while some "investment guru" wipes off billions in months without any remorse.

Because the above countries have no viable natural resources unlike Iraq.

So who's gonna be paying for the B-52s doing city wide carpet bombing with EOL so that military contractors benefit from replenishing stockpile with newer more advanced ones and for American contractors can come back and rebuild?

Afghanistan was a launch pad to Iraq which was already militarily weak by the time US planes flew over Afghanistan and victory is guaranteed. It was like stealing smarties from kids.

For Iran, according to US analysts, unless the US go full force (nuclear) chances are very slim. One analyst even felt that the lost of an air craft carrier was possible in an Iran campaign. The only victory the US may get is Pyrrhic at most and Iran may well be the last straw on the camel's back.

You obviously don't know much.

Where do you think the US are going to park their carrier fleet if they were to attack Iran? Take a peek at the world map and tell me.

By the way, Russia has committed to deliver $1 billion TOR M-1 surface-to-air missile defense system to Iran. And by the way, Russia and China have invited Iran to join their Shanghai Cooperation Pact.

Besides, Iran has a history of obeying international law and occupies no territory other than its own.
